A higher pH indicates a more alkaline or basic environment, while a lower pH indicates an acidic environment. The ideal range for pH levels in pools is between 7.2 and 7.6, which is on the alkaline side of the scale. To lower acid in the pool, you need to use pool maintenance equipment, like Sodium bicarbonate appropriately to lower the acidic levels
