How deep is a swimming pool

A swimming pool is measured in depth. The depth of a swimming pool varies from the shallow end to the deep end. The shallow end is usually 3 feet and the deep end is usually 10 feet.
- If it is a private casual & relaxing pool, it may go from 3 to 7 feet deep.
- If it is a public pool designed for diving, it may slope from 10 to 18 feet in the deep end.
- A children’s play pool may be from 1 to 4 feet deep.
- Olympic pools contain specific dimensions of 6 feet deep
- Some pools are even deeper, with a maximum of 18 feet. These pools are typically found in hotels or resorts and they have slides that go into them.
